Toshiba launches the fully loaded Dynabook

When Toshiba go for it, they really do pile everything they have into a device and the latest Dynabook R731/W4UC is no exception at all, this is machine that offers almost everything that a user could want in a laptop, but these sort of specs are not going to be cheap!


The Dynabook R731/W4UC is a 13.3 inch laptop with widescreen LED display features and a 1366 x 768 of pixel resolutions as well as a built in web camera.


The laptop will be powered by a 2.50 GHz Intel Core i5-2520M processor or the more powerful 2.70 GHz Intel Core i7 2620M vPro processor is an option too, but cost could be an issue here and the computer makes use of the Intel HM65 Express chipset.


When it comes to storage the Dynabook R731/W4UC has a useful but not very exciting 256 GB SSD and there is 4 GB of memory (RAM) available. For networking, Toshiba have chosen a Gigabit Ethernet connection and for wireless surfing, there is the usual 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi.


Other features include a DVD burner for data sharing, Blu-ray drive providing crystal clear movie viewing, HDMI output for connection to TV or larger monitor, D-Sub, fingerprint reader, WiMAX, one fast connecting USB 3.0 and two standard USB 2.0 ports.


When it comes to size and weight the dimensions are 316 mm about (width) × 227 mm (depth) × 18.3 mm to 42.8 mm (H) and it weighs in at 1.59 kg with 92AA battery installed.


On the subject of battery power such as Toshiba PA3191U-1BAS Battery, Toshiba PA3166U-1BAS Battery, Toshiba PA3331U-1BAS Battery, Toshiba PA3098U-1BAS Battery, Toshiba PA3084U-1BAS Battery, Toshiba PA3399U-1BAS Battery, Toshiba PA3250U-1BAS Battery, Toshiba PA3356U-1BAS Battery, Toshiba PA3291U-1BAS Battery, Toshiba PA3591U-1BAS Battery, Toshiba claim that the standard battery is good for around eighteen hours of use and finally the machine will be running the Windows 7 Professional operating system.


Currently the Dynabook R731/W4UC is only available in Japan at a price of around $3,000, with specs and a price tag such as this machine offers, it will not be long before it shows up elsewhere.
