Welcome to a Laptop Battery specialist
of the Sony laptop battery First post by: www.itsbattery.com
A filament thinner than a human hair but with twice the charging capacity of today's lithium-ion batteries has been created by scientists at Sandia National Labs in Albuquerque, NM. Even though the laptop battery is not yet charging drum-beating bunnies, it could lead to smaller, cheaper and more charging devices for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, laptops and cell phones.
The filament-battery such as is made from tin oxide anode and lithium cobalt oxide cathode suspended in an ionic liquid electrolyte.
When charged, ions traveling along the tin oxide nanowire caused it to nearly double in length and also bend and wiggle, producing a so-called "Medusa front" (above, bottom image).
"These observations prove that nanowires can sustain large stress induced by lithiation without breaking, indicating that nanowires are very good candidates for battery electrodes," the team's leader Jianyu Huang said in a press release.
Huang also said that the observations explain how these kinds of flaws occurs, "how they evolve during charging and offer guidance in how to mitigate them," — of which could help developers build better batteries such as Sony PCGA-BP1N battery, Sony PCGA-BP2NX battery, Sony PCGA-BP2NY battery, Sony PCGA-BP2R battery, Sony PCGA-BP2S battery, Sony PCGA-BP2T battery, Sony PCGA-BP2V battery, Sony PCGA-BP4V battery, Sony PCGA-BP71 battery, Sony VGP-BPL2 battery that have fewer defects that lead to short circuits and therefore longer battery life.
Maximizing Battery Performance
There are several tips to preserving your battery life and achieving its maximum performance. One simple thing users can do is turn down the brightness of their screen as low as possible. Another option is to check your battery performance tool installed on your computer. This will allow you to control exactly how you want your battery's power to be used.
When you're using your laptop, try not to run many programs at once. This will kill your battery life quickly, and also try to close down any programs that you aren't using at the moment. Go into your computer's settings and adjust features like screen savers, sleep/hibernate mode and auto-save functions to suit your desire.
