HP Laptop Battery Tips

Laptop batteries are essential for portability use of your laptop. After all, convenient mobile use of the computer is probably one of the main reasons as to why you bought a laptop instead of a desktop. Therefore, you want to be able to get full usage on the go without always having to find an outlet for the adapter. An HP laptop battery can provide perfectly mobile functionality. Your laptop should have originally come with a battery, but it is often necessary to replace them. With proper care, a new laptop battery should last you a few years.

Different HP laptop models require different Hp laptop battery models such as Hp F4098A battery, Hp F4809A battery, Hp F4812A battery, compaq 319411-001 battery, Compaq Presario 2100 battery(compaq 2100 battery), Compaq Presario 2500 battery(compaq 2500 battery), Compaq Presario NX9010 battery, Compaq Presario NX9000 battery, Hp F2299A battery and Hp F3172A battery. It is important to make sure that the battery is compatible with the particular laptop you are purchasing it for or it will not perform optimally if at all. When purchasing a new battery, the packaging or the description on the website should clearly state which models it is compatible with. Never use a battery in a computer that it is not specified for use in. Using the wrong battery type can cause damage to your equipment.

Batteries come in cell sizes. The cell size of your battery will determine how much uninterrupted computing time you will get out of it from a fully charged state. HP laptop batteries range in size from 3-cell to 12-cell. A 3-cell battery comes standard with many laptops, but will only get you about two and a half hours of use. Many models will allow you to upgrade to a 6-cell battery or larger for drastically extended usage time depending on performance settings and the types of programs used. For the HP Compaq pPresario V3000 and V6000, as well as most of the Pavilion DV range, high quality 8800mAh 12 cell batteries offer up to 6 hours of use without recharging, making a great option for travel use.

If battery life is critical to you, many HP laptops can be configured to extend battery life without upgrading the battery further – or change the processor as well as upgrade the battery for even more performance. For example, the new HP EliteBook 6930pcan have the processor downgraded and an 8 cell battery fitted to double its time spent between charges.

Even if you already have a properly functioning battery, it can be nice to own multiple batteries for extended usage time. Charge all batteries before you leave, and then when one loses power you can simply switch it out with a fully charged one rather than having to sit near an outlet while the first one recharges. Students often find this handy when carrying laptops for use in several classes in a row or for long hours studying in a library or lounge, for example. On that note, if processing power isn’t a priority, your choice of laptop will be the key determinant in how long the battery will last. Small laptops or netbooks tend to run for much longer due to their reduced processing requirements, both in CPU and video card. For example the HP Mini 110-1020NR and it’s successor the 110-3030NR offer from 3-4 hours of battery life in the standard 3 cell battery configuration. This can be doubled by upgrading to a 6 cell battery pack, offering an amazing6-8 hours on a charge.

In conclusion, make sure you are using the right battery for your laptop and always take care of your battery (or batteries) for optimal performance. It is advisable to let your battery completely expire and then fully recharge it before unplugging it again whenever possible. Also make note of any instructions provided and follow them carefully to ensure that you get the full benefits that your product has to offer.

Municipal Development and Reform Commission that the relevant person in charge, the information industry during the first half of this year increased more economic data is due to a low base last year. Therefore, the current overall economic growth should be considered to restore growth. In addition, the first half of the city’s information industry’s growth rate high, but in June the growth rate has slowed compared to May, taking into account the base of the second half of last year, is the gradual recovery in the second half of the information industry growth than on slow half the year is expected industrial output value of the information industry is about to complete the 40 billion yuan.

Dell Rosemount Enterprise Tablet With Removable Battery

Dell has been revealing plans of their 2011 tablet PC lineup, but one device that we were not sure of was the Dell Rosemount Enterprise Tablet, which Android Central leaked a couple of days back. However, we now have information that this device will happen, but it is that removable battery that has us interested the most. So what else is known about this upcoming Windows 7 device?

Firstly this will be a 10-inch tablet and is expected to form part of the Dell Latitude range. Sean Hollister from Engadget was tipped off by a source saying that the Dell Rosemount will be geared towards the business user – so aims to be going head-to-head with RIM’s BlackBerry PlayBook. Seems like the latter will have more tablets to contend with than first thought.

With any business user having removable components such as the battery such as dell 1G222 battery, dell BAT3151L8 battery, dell Latitude X300 battery, dell W0465 battery, dell Inspiron 2000 battery, dell Latitude LS battery, dell 2834T battery, dell 4834T battery, dell Inspiron 1520 battery, dell Inspiron 1521 battery and Dell Inspiron 1720 battery is important, as they will be able to take a spare battery with them when travelling. How bad would it be if you are stuck on a train working and your tablet dies on you – well you will not have to worry?

Other features that will appeal to the enterprise user are remote wipe, software encryption, dual-digitizer and finally a stylus. We told you that the HTC Flyer could be a game changer; this is now the second tablet that we know of that will come with a stylus.

Other details are a bit thin on the ground, but it looks as though it will use Intel’s Oak Trail Atom CPU. Do you think that the Dell Rosemount Tablet will be the first of many with a removable battery?

Dell pushing out ten new notebooks

Dell are moving forward to better themselves in the notebook market and they are going to achieve this hopefully with the ten laptops they have coming. They want to be better in the market which is driven by the so called digital nomads.

Dell has announced ten new laptops or should we say Latitude corporate laptops, Dell have always had a great and now with the new-line of business laptops which boast 19 hours of battery ( such as dell 1G222 battery, dell BAT3151L8 battery, dell Latitude X300 battery, dell W0465 battery, dell Inspiron 2000 battery, dell Latitude LS battery, dell 2834T battery, dell 4834T battery, dell Inspiron 1520 battery, dell Inspiron 1521 battery and Dell Inspiron 1720 battery ) life and many other innovative features, we can see them coming out on top in the market.

What we should look at is the demanding features from digital nomads and their all day connectivity, high-level security, long battery life, durability and of course uncompromising design. The new line-up from Dell will include an ultra-lightweigh model and backlit keyboards, the ultralight model is much lighter than that of the Apple MacBook at just 2.2 pounds and will feature a 12.1-inch display.

The line-up includes the 14.1-inch E5400 starting at $839, 15.4-inch E5500 starting at $869; the 14.1-inch E6400 and the 15.4-inch E6500 both starting at $1,139 and the 14.1-inch semi-rugged E6400 ATG, which starts at $2,399 and there is also the ultra-portable 12.1-inch Latitude E4200 and the 13.3-inch E4300.

The Dell Latitude E6400 ATG is built and tested to meet MIL-810F standards for humidity, dust, vibration, and altitude (Got to love that the Dell Latitude with good altitude). This laptop will feature a removable shock-mounted hard drive, spill-resistant keyboard, and port covers.

charge your new replacement laptop battery

Some laptops with lithium-ion batteries use technology of SBS brightness battery system, which can measure battery’s life accurately. Although lithium-ion battery has many merits, we still need to master some professional charge method to prolong battery’s life and made it maintain long time power supply. Your new Battery requires three complete charge/discharge cycles before use and achieving maximum capacity. It means the battery would have to be charged fully and then be discharged fully. Repeat it three times before starting to use the battery such as dell Inspiron 6400 battery, dell Inspiron E1505 battery, dell Inspiron 1501 battery, dell GD761 battery, dell KD476 battery, dell TD347 battery, dell Inspiron 1000 battery, dell Inspiron 2200 battery, dell 312-0292 battery, dell INSPIRON 2600 battery, dell INSPIRON 2650 battery, dell 1G222 battery and dell BAT3151L8 battery. By this way, battery’s internal chemical materials can be activated and its internal chemical reaction can come into the optimal state. After the activation, the battery can be charged and used freely. But the battery will have to be discharged completely once a month so that the battery activity can be released by such deep discharge and battery life can be maintained.

If battery is idle for over 3 months, it is also necessary to conduct 3 cycles of complete charge and dsicharge to ensure that the battery is activated. You must control the charge time commendably when you use a Ni-MH battery. Please remember not to overcharge continually, or it will shorten the battery’s life.

Furthermore, Ni-MH battery should be fully discharged before being charged. It also needs three complete discharge/ charge cycles before starting to use it. Most users are used to using Alternating Current instead of a battery for power supply when they use laptops. Actually the battery needs to be used at least once or twice per month to release the battery power completely. Then fully charge the battery with AC power once. Please remember that it is always good for rechargeable batteries to use up the battery power before giving them a full charge. Because the li-ion Battery used by laptop has its own laziness and would lose its activeness when being idle for long time. It needs to be reactivated.

It is suggested to take out the battery from laptop when it uses AC power supply indoor to avoid having the battery get charged frequently. It is also suggested to shut down the laptop so that battery can be fully charged. Do not remove the AC power during charge.

In addition, the power of battery can easily be used up and most laptops have only one battery. For this reason, some manufacturers have developed a fast charge feature that enables the battery to replenish its power at the fastest pace after power draining up. One hour charge can give the battery back over 90% of its power. Why is not 100%? Because frequent fast 100% charge will greatly shorten the battery life. In order to prolong battery life, fast charge will have to be switched to slow charge(namely Constant Voltage charging method) when battery reaches 90% charge.

For a common laptop, the best charge method is to turn off the laptop when its battery is being charged. The charge time will be shortened by 30% by this method.

swap the laptop battery

This one’s a coin toss between Dell and HP. Heads, you get HP’s slightly larger and lush-looking (but, at 2.5kg, a deal heavier) Pavillion Verve, which is perfect for entertainment on the move. Tails, it’s the XPS M1330 for what’s easily the fastest yet slimmest sub-note we’ve ever seen. Given that both “slim and light” notebooks sell for 99, you can’t lose either way.

One of the first people to come up with the idea of very cheap laptops was Nicholas Negroponte, co-founder and director of the MIT Media Laboratory. In 2002, Negroponte launched his idea of a $ US100 laptop designed specifically for the world’s poorest children. The ambitious project aimed to manufacture child-oriented laptop computers that are resistant to dust and moisture, can be operated in sunlight and be powered by hand.

This week she is trying to write a Personal Immigration Story on it for a class assignment, and she says she is especially pleased with the “small keyboard with really squishy keys that are fun to type on.” The battery such as dell Inspiron 6400 battery, dell Inspiron E1505 battery, dell Inspiron 1501 battery, dell GD761 battery, dell KD476 battery, dell TD347 battery, dell Inspiron 1000 battery, dell Inspiron 2200 battery, dell 312-0292 battery, dell INSPIRON 2600 battery, dell INSPIRON 2650 battery, dell 1G222 battery and dell BAT3151L8 battery, she notes, lasts all day, but she’s having trouble printing the paper.

“We’re a minority, but a growing minority,” Reinhold said of Macintosh users, who represent about ten percent of total computer ownership.

The criticisms centred on the lack of a DVD drive, missing Ethernet networking port, relatively small 80GB hard drive and the inability to swap the battery.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has logged dozens of reports of the problem lithium-ion laptop batteries overheating.

Laptops are generally pokey gaming platforms, since they lack the high-powered chips needed to calculate realistic 3-D environments. Alienware’s m9750 laptop busts that limitation, at least if you have the cash. It has a 17-inch screen and can be fitted with dual graphics cards and dual hard drives. All this power means it only lasts 1 1/2 hours on battery, so don’t picture yourself gaming on a cross-country flight. And if you’re the kind of gamer who likes to trick out your rig, there may be reason to wait. The m9750 looks surprisingly sedate, while Alienware (now a Dell Inc. subsidiary) has some cooler designs coming out next year that use LEDs in the decor to light up the laptop in unexpected ways. (MSRP: 49 (euro2,337) in recommended gaming configuration)

Also welcome is the flexible battery system that lets you pair a main “extended life” battery with a second modular battery in place of the CD-DVD drive to get 10 hours on a single charge. On its own the standard laptop battery is good for about 31/2 hours of solid use.

The gPC stands out from the crowd like a man wearing sandals at cocktail party _ it’s cheap and it’s different. It’s a simple desktop computer that eschews Windows in favour of Linux, the alternative operating system that’s widely used by information technology professionals but has struggled for years to gain acceptance in desktops. The gPC is the first Linux computer to be sold in Wal-Mart stores (though only some of them), giving Linux another shot at the mainstream. It’s designed to be easy to use and focuses on Google’s Web services like Gmail and YouTube. But like some earlier Linux computers, it uncomfortably straddles two worlds: it’s a low-end box for computer novices, yet considerable expertise is needed to get the most out of the software.

It would be fairer to compare the X300 with Apple’s MacBook Pro series or, indeed, any full-featured Windows laptop. But even then X300 throws a curve ball because it’s rare to find such a no-compromise notebook with the X300′s 34cm screen, its 1.3kg weight and a profile that gently tapers from 23mm to 19mm.

Last year’s massive recall was a major embarrassment for Sony at a time when it has been reviving profits and boosting its image. Tokyo-based Sony has said improvements in production, design and inspection have been made to prevent a recurrence of any laptop overheating problems.

Wozniak agreed with those criticisms, saying: “I don’t think it’s going to be a hit.” He said he liked to burn a lot of DVDs for friends and watched movies on planes, and so needed the ability to swap batteries mid-flight.

“Just wait until somebody with a MacBook Air walks into a meeting room where people are working on some clunky PC laptops. That should get even more folks thinking of switching.”

While Rebecca was gaining some affinity for her OLPC, my son Raymond was getting to know the Classmate PC, which run 0 to 0. The rugged blue cover proved to be tough enough for the daily bike commute to school. The magnetic snap, which I thought looked flimsy and therefore doomed, showed no sign of wear despite weeks of constant opening and closing.

Most of those aims have now been met although the price tag has come in at about $ US200 (5) a unit. The laptop is called the XO. It runs on flash memory, which drastically reduces power consumption, and a version of the open-source Linux operating system.
